AIR! I Need to Breathe!

We tasted four bottles of the same red wine. One was opened just before tasting, one was opened over an hour before tasting, one was opened early and decanted, and one was opened and poured through an aerator right before serving. The first one was definitely the loser, but the other three all had admirers.
